Is Mini-usb Connector What You Use To Charge The Garmin Nuvi 700 Series? -=( Problem With Charging This Gps )?

If it's not the usb connector cable, what do you use to charge the GPS ( through your computer ) then how do you charge it? Mine seems to be charging very slow. Is that normal? How do you charge this #$@#$ thing, anybody know?

You can either charge it through the USB cable while connected to the computer or you can try buying a USB-to-AC adapter you can plug into the wall. Those are sold for charging MP3 players and PDAs, but they can charge pretty much any USB device. I use one to charge my nuvi 200. You could also use the cigarette lighter cable to charge the nuvi while you’re driving. It should take 2-3 hours to fully charge.
I just thought of something. Are you charging while connected to a laptop? Laptops have lower-powered USB ports than desktops, which means your nuvi will take longer to charge. If you buy a powered USB hub (one you plug into a wall outlet), it would charge faster than it would when connected to the laptop.
